OUR INTERPRETATION: Mosaic’s New Shabby Chic Linens

This winter, we were on the hunt for fabrics that could bring some new zest to the organic trends in fabrics that we knew would again be popular this spring and summer.   We found so many bold patterns and distressed fabrics which left us inspired to push the boundaries on this trend.  We walked away from the shows with some fantastic new shabby chic additions to our collections, and know our clients will find clever ways to incorporate them into their innovative designs. From toiles and botanicals to batiks and chenilles, we love how the natural dyes create delicate earthly inspired designs in these reinterpretations of  shabby chic!

GET CREATIVE: 3 Ways to Design With Our New Shabby Chic Linens

Go shabby, get chic. From garden parties to tented weddings, these gorgeous bold prints are already being used to define event environments across the country. Burlap, crystal chandeliers and re-purposed furniture have proven to be successful in creating an ever-popular shabby chic trend that clients adore. However, we encourage you to push the boundaries, and incorporate these new distressed patterned fabrics into your event design this year.

Taking inspiration from nature, we love how our new Birds in Bloom whimsically combines over-sized flowers and birds perched on branches to create an organic, rich patterned cloth. Coupled with earthen fabrics like olive lamour, and our textured cream-toned Aspen, this look is ideal for celebrations that range from a ladies tea to a bridal shower in the spring.

Sky Emblem provides the perfect gateway for imagination in this earth-n-sky inspired palette. This upholstery fabric is thick and tactile, creating a solid anchor for a shabby chic inspired outdoor affair. Adding pops of geometry with our new Chenille Squares provides an unexpected twist to this look, adding energy and a linear component to this design motif.

Mosaic’s new Batik Blossom combines stylized flowers and foliage in an explosion of earthly delights.Using this fun floral pattern as a departure point for design, this fabric stands out alongside shades of citrus solids. Warm hues like burnt orange, lemon and crimson compliment this fabric so much that look is complete. Tones of sage, chocolate and taupe could compliment this fabric to make equally exciting statements.
